Biography

John was involved in the Gunpowder plot. He was the third man to be executed on Thursday, 30 Jan 1606.

John Grant lived at Norbrook, near Snitterfield in Warwickshire. He was married to Thomas Wintour's sister, Dorothy, with a son, Wintour Grant.

Gunpowder Plot member.[1] Buried at St. Paul's Churchyard.

Grant-6162 and Graunt-45 appear to represent the same person because: these are the same John Grant/Graunt that was involved in the Gunpowder Plot. The name at the time was spelled "Graunt" and his ancestry is known (i've been researching it sporadically for years). thanks.
