He headed to the States Nov. 1923 at the age of 19 shortly after his mother died to visit his sister Annie Burkell in Chicago. He was there from Oct. 1923 to Aug. 1924.
He went back to the States through Vermont in 1925. He again headed to Chicago to his sister's Annie Burkell. In 1930 he and his sister Clara are living with their sister Annie Burkell. He is a millwright and his sister Clara is a stenographer.
