Biography

Cross of St George
Ann (Grant) Spicer was born in England.

Ann was most probably born in Sandwich, Kent, and around 1607, but no baptism record has been found. Her father's name Mark is recorded in tertiary sources, but has not yet been proven.

She married Thomas Spicer at Sandwich in 1626. Their marriage license was issued on 4 February 1626. The marriage license register indicates that Thomas Spicer of Barfreston married Ann Grant of S Mary's in Sandwich at S Mary's.[1] They had a family at Sandwich.

Ann died in 1635. "Ann, wife of Thomas Spicer," was buried on 29 September 1635 at Sandwich, St Peter.[2] After her death, on 5 February 1635 (new style date 5 February 1636), her husband, Thomas Spicer of S. Peter's in Sandwich, maltster, widower, about 43, married Micoll Jenkins of S. Clement's in Sandwich, widow of John Jenkins, "sometimes of London," deceased, at S. Clement's.[1]

Grant-1845 and Grant-697 appear to represent the same person because: These women with the same name share a husband and at least one child. Can be merged
According to the records I can find, Ann was buried at Sandwich, Kent, England on 29 Sept 1635: (https://www.findmypast.com/transcript?id=GBPRS/CANT/D/95247620). It says the husband was Thomas, and they married in Sandwich, and Thomas remarried the following February (it says 1635 on the record, but this is when Jan/ Feb/ Mar were part of the proceeding year).

This all fits together, so I think this record needs correcting.
