Biography

Rachel Grant, born 26 Feb 1747/48 at Litchfield, Connecticut, was the third child of Thomas Grant II & Rachel Buell Grant.

She married in 1769 David Northrup [b. 27 Jan 1746 @ New Milford, Connecticut, son of Amos Northrup & Anna Baldwin]. They had 8 children during the time period through June 1786:

2. Betsey Northrup, b. 20 Apr 1772; d. 31 Mary 1782
3. John Wilks Northrup, b. 9 Feb 1774
4. David Northrup, b. 8 May 1778; d. 13 May 1803, at sea on return from the East Indies
5. Solomon Northrup, b. 29 May 1780
6. Abner Northrup, b. 7 Sep 1782
7. nathaniel Northrup, b. 9 Jul 1784
