Grant — John Grant settled in Avhat is now Ocean county, between Toms River and (.Cedar Creek before 1764, as in that year he was named among taxable inhabitants of old Shrewsbury township. He is frequently' named in old records of deeds. John Grant of Monmouth had license to marry Sarah Irons, Nov. 3, 1750. [1]
