Biography

Rachel Grant was born about 1760 in possibly Rowan County, North Carolina.[1] Possible Court Records state: Rachel Grant, orphan of James Grant, dec'd, 12, bound to William Grant for 6 years as is Michael Grant, 3, for 18 years to learn art and mastry of a weaver. [2] William Grant is probably the William who married Elizabeth Boone, sister of Daniel and moved to KY.

She married Isaac Mitchell and had six sons and four daughters. They were: [3]
