The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954) CARCOAR, Saturday Mr James Grant, sen. a very old sheep-farmer, and much respected resident of Mount Macquarie, in this district, died on Tuesday after a protracted illness. Mr Grant had been in this colony 55 years, out of which he lived at Mount Macquarie 53 years. He has left a widow and large grown-up familv of sons and daughters He was 85 years old, and a native of Ireland.
