Note N658http://awoolridge.tripod.com/genealogy/id2.html DALE ELZY DIED LAST THRUSDAY Dale Elzy died in St. Marys Hospital in Decatur, June 13, at 11:15pm. He was a farmer and lived on a farm in the Whitley township area. He was a son of Joseph and Rose Elzy and was born in Moultrie County, June 20, 1899. He was married to Millie E. Graven in 1919. Mr. Elzy was a veteran of World War I and served with the local C Company, 130th Inf. in France during the war. Surviving him are his wife, Millie, and the following children: Dean Elzy, J.D. Elzy of Sullivan, Donald Elzy of Chicago, and the following brothers and sisters: Kenneth and Hurl Elzy of Sullivan, Morris Elzy of Decatur, Mrs. Bessie Shaw of Sullivan, Mrs. Edith Rhodes of Ridgeway, PA, and Mrs. Fern Pierson of Decatur. He also leaves eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2pm at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home with Rev. C. A. Longton in charge. Burial was in the Greenhill Cemetery.
