Biography

In 1795 (#715) and again in 1796 (#720) Gilbert petitioned for land. I assume he did not received either of the lots he applied for, i.e., there was no Crown Land Grant found.

Note: It is interesting to note that the Gilbert Grays of Springfield, Kings Co and Grand Manan, Charlotte Co. had the middle initial L. This solidifies my belief they were the same person. However, I been burned to many times to suggest anything other than they were quite probably the same person.
