Polly Parly Gray was born on 8 March 1792 in North Stonington, New London county, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Philip Gray (b. 2 Feb 1766, d. 10 Jul 1825) and Susannah Almy (b. 12 Sep 1767).

Polly was wed to Clarke Vincent in September 1811 in North Stonington, New London county, Connecticut. They had the following children:

1. Mary Anne Vincent, b. 1813, d. 1865;
2. Minerva Vincent, b. 1815;
3. Elizabeth Eliza M. (Vincent) Crandall, b. 1818, d. 1908;
