Garrett was in the Continental Army joined on March 8 1777. He was at Valley Forge, Mount Holly, Scotch Plains Easton, Elizabeth Town and Wyoming. Garrett was called Jr. til his Father died then he was called Garrett Gray Sr.and his son Garrett Gray Jr. The exact burial location of Garrett and Susannah is unknown but there is a cemetery on the old Gray homeplace that two of their sons and their wives are buried with tombstones. There are also two graves without tombstones this could be where they are buried.
He and 3 of his brothers were Revolutionary War vets. He was also at Valley Forge. I read that all 5 brothers were in the war but I have yet to find Robert's record.
Birth years vary, Marriage record gives birth year as 1755
