Lucy Jane Gray was born on 3 Apr 1867 in Gawler, South Australia in 1867, the sixth of seven children of David Gray and Rebecca Barford. ^[1]

On 22 Apr 1886 she married Henry Allchurch in the Tickera Hotel in Tickera South Australia. ^{[2] [3] [4]}
