Arthur Gray was born in Huntingdonshire, England.

Arthur St John Gray was born December 27, 1859 in Abbotsley Vicarage, St. Neots, Huntingdonshire, England. A child of John Durbin Gray and Sophia Price.[1][2][3][4]

Arthur married Florence Julia Boys December 28, 1883 in Eastbourne, Sussex, England.[6][2]

The couple registered the birth of at least one child in England, before leaving for Australia; Cecil B.

Arthur was headmaster at The King's Scool in Parramatta, in the colony of New South Wales from 1886 to 1888[7]

While in New South Wales, the couple registered the births of two children; Dorothy and an unnamed baby. Dorothy died in infancy.

Upon returning to England, Arthur took up the headmaster's role at Malvern College from 1892 to 1897.[8]

Arthur and Florence had at least one more child in England; John Michael Gordon.

Athur is living with son, John, John's wife, Joan and a housekeeper when the 1939 Register was being recorded.[4]

Arthur passed away February 11, 1944 in Sodbury, Gloucestershire, England.[9][8]
