Mary Gray was born to George Gray, Loyalist, and Mary Newton Gray about 1787 in the Bahama Islands. She was baptized March 27, 1788. Her parents had married 6 May 1786. Her mother was the daughter of Jeremiah Newton.
She married James Meadows at Crooked Island, Bahamas 31 December 1809.
Children: John Gray Meadows, George Edwards Meadows, Jane Ellen Meadows, and Emily Frances Meadows.
