Biography

John was born in 1821 and was christened in January of that year. ^[1]

Sadly his father also John had died the previous month . ^[2]

He signed intention to marry Isabel Wettom in 1844^[3]

They were married on 30th November 1844. ^[4]

A daughter Mary was christened in 1845. ^[5]

Isabella died in Q2 1847. ^[6]

He married Mary Ann Lea in November 1850 in Macclesfield His status was given as widower.. ^[7]

in 1861 he is living with Mary Ann , Mary his daughter from his first marriage, and Peter, Ellen , Frances and John. He is a silk weaver. They live in Higher Hurdsfield. ^[8]

Mary Ann passed away in Q4 1865. ^[9]

In 1871 he is a widower living with his children Mary, Peter, Ellen, Frances, John and a grandchild. He is a silk power loom weaver. ^[10]

Daughter Mary married in 1872. ^[11]

Son Peter married in 1874. ^[12]

He passed away in 1876. ^[13]

Daughter Ellen married in 1878. ^[14]

Daughter Frances married in 1881. ^[15]
