He was a member of Capt. Philip Tilton's Company, under date of June 12, 1775. He was one of the signers of a receipt which reads : "We the subscribers, belonging to Capt Tiltons Company in Col. Poors Regt do hereby acknowledge that we have recd of Timo Walker Jr Four dollars each man in full satisfaction for the Regimental Coat which was promised by the Colony of New Hampshire Oct. 11, 1775-"
He removed from Kingston, N. H., to Hallowell, Me., about 17S0, and lived in a house near the northwest corner of the present (1890) factory lot. He was a blacksmith. His tombstone in the old cemetery at Hallowell reads :—
"Erected in memory of Mr. Enoch Greeley who died Feb 28. 1815 aged 61 yrs. Behold ye mourners for the dead In this cold grave I've made my bed. The trump shall sound, I hope to rise, And meet my Saviour in the skies."[3]
