Biography

William Green Jr was born in 1786 in Burke County North Carolina. His parents were William Green Sr. ( The Patriot) and Kezziah Patton. He married Nancy Porter on 10/29/1811 and they had 12 children. Around the year 1818, William Sr moved to Haywood County North Carolina and he owned land on the Pigeon River. Then in 1830, William Jr and also his brother Anderson bought land in Carroll County Georgia on the little Tallapoosa River near the towns of Villa Rica and Temple. All together William Jr owned between 400 and 600 acres of land in Carroll County Georgia. William Jr owned land lots 137 and 152 and part of lot 136 , all in District 6. William Jr died on 03/24/1857 and is buried with his wife at Old Bethel Church Cemetery which is located on the Land that he used to own there in Carroll County. The Church is gone and the land is growed up now. The Cemetery is located at the corner of Bar J Road and S Red Oak Way.

William was born in 1786. He passed away in 1847.
