Biography
Ellen was born in 1865[1] at Bradwell Juxta Coggeshall, Essex, England[2][3] and baptised on the 16th July 1865 at Holy Trinity, Bradwell Juxta Coggeshall, Essex, England, the daughter of Elijah Green (labourer) and Sophia Green of Bradwell[4].
On the 24th October 1891, Ellen married her cousin Alfred Green at St. James, Islington, London, England. Alfred Green, 36, bachelor, warehouseman of 5 Grove Street, son of Samuel Green (Farm Labourer, deceased); and Ellen Green, 26, spinster, of 5 Grove Street, daughter of Elijah Green (Farm Labourer, deceased). Witnessed by J. Whitehead, Emma Green and Annie Archer[5].
Ellen's first husband Alfred died in 1895.
On the 3rd September 1898, widowed Ellen married widower Herbert Mark Hedger at St. Ann, Tottenham, Middlesex, England. Herbert Mark Hedger, 51, widower, house decorator of 22 Ipplepen Road, son of André Hedger (carpenter, deceased); and Ellen Green, 33, widow, of 22 Ipplepen Road, daughter of Elijah Green (farm labourer, deceased). Witnessed by T. Whitehead and H. Green[6]
Ellen passed away in 1951. [7]
