Contrary View

The Peleg who married Freelove was a sea captain and relocated about 1790 to Georgia. [4] [5] GREEN, PELEG and wife Freelove of Washington, Wilkes Co. Barrett Brewer, J. Webster, test.[6] This Peleg is thought to have been b. 15 JUN 1748 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island of George and Ann Greene contrary to the opinion of Mary Shaw Greene whose book places him as son of Timothy and Silence, born in 1752 in Coventry.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peleg by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peleg:

Patrick, if the way I edited Peleg's sources, does not answer your questions, send me a message from my page. You have the right idea about searching for primary sources. You are also fortunate to have found the trail from IN back to Peleg in the Rev. I have been searching for parents of my 2ggfa for several years. I came to wiki tree to maybe find a Green of the approx date and LOCATION. Alas, an 800p+ book in the right location is another Green line. Good searching.

Tom, thank you, I'm learning and your comment is well taken. I work from an iPad and then will be uploading attachments from my office PC.

Other things I am learning is, as far as the Green's go, there are several books with just as many interpretations. I'm working on not relying on someone else's research without independent and documented verification. When I look at the DAR reference, I see two numbers by the posting for an ancestor, Mrs. Lucy Burgess Green Knode, they are 61198 and then after the lineage it reads ..also 33874. Do I need to just reference those numbers or also attach an image of the page? Your input is appreciated.

Patrick, if you have DAR lineage # (which I haven't checked) surely you have location data. It would help me and others searching Greens if you would add that. Thanks.
