Peleg Greene was born Apr. 15, 1752 at Coventry, KENT Co., Rhode Island of Timothy Greene and Silence (Rowland) Burlingame. ^[1]

Contrary View

The Peleg who married Freelove was a sea captain and relocated about 1790 to Georgia. ^{[4] [5]} GREEN, PELEG and wife Freelove of Washington, Wilkes Co. Ga., power of atty to John Morney, Esqr. of the town of Providence, Rhode Island, and Providence Plantations to collect all money etc due them in the State of Rhode Island. Jun. 17, 1790. Barrett Brewer, J. Webster, test.^[6] This Peleg is thought to have been b. 15 JUN 1748 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island of George and Ann Greene contrary to the opinion of Mary Shaw Greene whose book places him as son of Timothy and Silence, born in 1752 in Coventry.
