John Green was a convict who came to Australia before 1828. He had been sentenced for 7 years and was said to be 81 years of age. At this stage, the exact ship he came on has not been narrowed down (an 1828 muster refers to the ship as "SG" or "LG" save his arrival (according to the 1828 Census) was consistently referred to as being in 1824. In 1828 he had been assigned to work for Peter McIntyre, the place of residence is not clear from the census return.
