Leminda, was of the prominent Green family of Jefferson County, and daughter of Thomas Marston Green, Jr. She was born July 5, 1761 and died January 29, 1819.[1] [2] Thomas Marston Green, Sr. was a close friend of Andrew Jackson, and Jackson's future wife Rachel Donelson Robards was also friendly with the Greens, residing at the homes of Thomas M. Green, Jr., and his brother Abner after she left her husband Lewis Robards and before she married Jackson. Andrew and Rachel Jackson appear to have been married at Springfield in 1791, possibly by Thomas M. Green, Sr., before discovering that Rachel's marriage to Robards had not been dissolved, and then obtaining a divorce and taking part in a second wedding.
