James Green was born bef 1750 probably in Virginia of Irish ancestry, although a biography about the family which Elizabeth had moved, after his death, from Woodford County, Kentucky to Dubois County, Indiana stated he was born in Ireland. [1]

He married to Elizabeth Cartmill abt 1767 in Botetourt, Virginia.

In 1810 as James Green Sr. he was 45+ living with family (wife, 3 sons, 2 daus) beside James Green Jr. in Woodford Kentucky. [2]

He died 16 FEB 1811 in Woodford, Kentucky, United States.
