Ann Jane 'Janie' Green was born 10 Nov 1843, the only child born to Solomon Green and Lavinia Collins of Bulloch County Georgia[1]. She and her mother lived in Bulloch County in 1850[2]. Her father was living with a Gillman family in Bulloch County[3]. It is unknown if he and Lavinia were divorced or just living apart.
In 1860, she lived with her uncle Mitchell Collins and his family in Tattnall County, Georgia[4].
She and Rufus appear on the 1870[6] census with their daughter Mozell and son Michael. In 1900 they lived in Cobbtown, Tattnall County, Georgia with their son Jasper[7].
