Biography

Ann Jane 'Janie' Green was born 10 Nov 1843, the only child born to Solomon Green and Lavinia Collins of Bulloch County Georgia^[1]. She and her mother lived in Bulloch County in 1850^[2]. Her father was living with a Gillman family in Bulloch County^[3]. It is unknown if he and Lavinia were divorced or just living apart.

In 1860, she lived with her uncle Mitchell Collins and his family in Tattnall County, Georgia^[4].

She married Rufus Collins 28 Jan 1866 in Tattnall County^[5].

She and Rufus appear on the 1870^[6] census with their daughter Mozell and son Michael. In 1900 they lived in Cobbtown, Tattnall County, Georgia with their son Jasper^[7].

She died April 30, 1912, and was buried in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Cobbtown, Tattnall County, Georgia^[1].

She is mentioned in the death record of her daughter Eliza Jane Collins^[8].
