It has been said that his parents, Joshua Green & Alice (Waite) Potter both died from small pox while residents of New Lebanon, Kings District then located in Old Albany County (now Columbia) New York. Joshua Green, Jr would have been about 13 years old. In 1793 he was married to Sarah Hunter while a resident of New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York. He seems to have followed his oldest sister, Mary (Green) Fox and his youngest sister, Susannah (Green) Fox when they moved north to Montgomery (now Fulton) County, N.Y. They were all enumerated in the 1800 Federal Census as residents of that place. William & Mary Fox settled in the Town of Mayfield while Consider & Susannah Fox along with half-brother, Joshua Green settled in the adjacent Town of Broadalbin. He later migrated west to Genesee County, New York where he was enumerated in the 1810 Federal Census. He died in 1822 and his wife, Sarah (Hunter) Green died in 1860. They were buried in the Byron Cemetery in Byron, Genesee County, New York. They have a very nice monument erected at their grave. I have identified one son named Andrew Hunter Green (1797-1875) who is buried on his father & mother's cemetery plot.
