Research Notes

Disputed Spouse Although some trees show that John Green married Judith (Blott) Green (abt.1622-1694) (see International Marriage Records, 1560-1900 database on Ancestry.com citing a user submitted gedcom)[3] ), no reliable sources have been found for such a marriage. He was married to a Julian (Unknown) Green (abt.1630-). Refer to Judith Blott's profile for information about her uncertain existence.

PGM - and /or please attend to the proposed merge. His wife as Julian is sourced on Green-36156

Perhaps I am missing something, but it appears that the source on Green-36156 does not identify her last name - only her first name as Julian.

I agree these look like they are intended to be the same people, but I think that Judith Blott is a fictional wife. There is such a marriage in the International Marriage Records database on Ancestry, but that's just largely compiled from submitted gedcoms and not actual marriage records.

Judith is supposedly the daughter of Robert Blott who was profiled by Anderson. There is no Judith listed but one of his daughters (either Elizabeth or Ann) married a Ralph Green...so maybe that's partially where the confusion began. I'd propose moving forward with the merge after detaching Judith Blott, and marking the profile as Uncertain existence. I looked and could find no actual record of a Judith Blott. Torrey only lists the marriage to Julian ______.

Green-36156 and Green-336 appear to represent the same person because: spouse match.

Many of these dates should be changed to Kittery, Massachusetts Bay.

I do not think this John qualifies as PGM. None of the Kittery John's are mentioned before 1647 (John Sr.) The profile says his children were born in Kittery, but I don't think we know that.

Green-336 and Green-19477 appear to represent the same person because: Although some dates are different, they both have the same daughter, Barbara (Green) Jellison. It's possible these are two different John Greens but, if so, Barbara (Green) Jellison should be removed from one.

Green-1430 and Green-336 are not ready to be merged because: There is a conflict note on Green-1430 indicating that he is not the son of John and Perseverance ( Johnson) Green and that their son John died at Stow, MA. This conflict needs to be resolved or parent removed. They don't appear to be the same John. Chris
