Change from Greene to Green: Apparently there was a great family quarrel and the first John Greene in America disinherited, over land troubles his sons Edward, Robert and Henry and that they all left Rhode Island, Edward going to New York, Henry to New Jersey and Robert to Virginia. These sons to spite their father, who was punctilious to spell his name with at the end, dropped the e. Most of descendents do not use the 'e'.

The merge should probably be from Greene-5007 into Green-14355 since both her father's name and descendants are spelled without the final "e."
