Margaret Green was born in 1711 in Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, daughter of (John) Samuel Green, Sr. and Sarah Bull. She married John Opdycke (c. 1710-1777), a patriot during the American Revolution. [1]They had nine known children.
Margaret passed away March 16, 1775 and was buried at Opdycke Cemetery, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. John died two years later.

Research Notes
Her father referred to her as ‘Margaret Opdike’ [sic] in his Will of September 3, 1760, where he bequeathed her, along with his other "first children”, a sum of five shillings each.
