p 71 - https://archive.org/stream/clayfamily00smit#page/71/mode/1up - Clay Family, says Thomas Green & his wife Elizabeth Marsten were parents of Lucy and Martha Green (who married Clays), but I 'm not sure of the dates (mother Elizabeth (Marston) Green's will probated 1760 Amelia County, Virgina).

However, son William has middle name of Marston & his wife is a Clay (daughter of Henry Clay-84, named Amey Williamson in Henry's will). Is Marston as that son's middle name certain? And am I reading the bio correctly that Thomas b 1635 had first child in 1759? Even if a century typo, and 1659 was meant, then the child was born in a different location a year before the marriage.

Could you check your info on the birth & marriage dates for Thomas & the dates of his kids & verify Marston? Tx

Green-704 and Green-1723 appear to represent the same person because: same info with addition of mother's maiden name

Green-1723 and Green-704 are not ready to be merged because: Need to take a closer look before merging. Date of birth of son William is before the marriage by a long shot, and the names are very common.

Green-1723 and Green-704 are not ready to be merged because: I have not done--and do not have the means to do--primary research on this family. It appears to me that the parentage of Thomas is questionable, with an extremely vague source citation. With such a common name, chances are very good that this person's mother was some other Martha.

Green-1723 and Green-704 appear to represent the same person because: Spouse and parents and children all match, not sure why this was a rejected merge.

Tom-I just "adopted" this profile, only yesterday, with all intentions, within the next few days, to add information to this profile, from my ancestry.com family tree. Once that's done, I will then propose a merge, after determining what other "Thomas Green" profiles are applicable to the one I'll be creating here.

Nalani, I hope you intend to merge this as it is a useless profile.

Green-1723 and Green-9605 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, apparently; some assembly required!
