Drury Dobbins Green was born March 27, 1844 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, USA, the son of Stephen M. Green and Judith (Moore) Green. He was the brother of Sarah (Green) Wilson, William H. Green, Joseph Green, Martha (Green) Monroe, James Green, Abram Green, George W. Green, John Green and Mary E. Green.[1]
Drury married Priscilla J. Blanton on November 24, 1864 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. [2][3] They had the following children:
Drury married second, Eliza Mae Phillips. They had no children. In the 1910 Campobello, Spartanburg, South Carolina Census, his two grandsons Jasie Evans Green, age 15 and Roy T Green , age 17, are listed as living with them.[5] D.D. was 66 and Anna wss 44 at the time.
Drury died on 14 December 1926 in Ellenboro, Rutherford County, North Carolina, and was buried beside Eliza Mae at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellenboro, Rutherford County, North Carolina, USA[6]
