Stephen M Green was born about 1820 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, the son of James M. Green and Narcissus Hamrick who were very young at the time of his birth. He was the brother of Elias Green, George W. Green, Reuben H. Green Sr., William M. Green, Noah Green, Joseph P. Green, Ewell Green, Newell Green, Edmund H. Green, Judia Green, Elizabeth Green, Elizabeth Green, Edmond Green, James M. Green, Hannah Green, Nancy (Green) Earls, Nancy Green, Asa Green, Henry Green, Berry Green and Drury H. Green.[1]
Stephen executed a Rutherford County marriage bond 6 April 1833, naming his intended bride as Judith Moore. His bondsman was Lewis Green.[2]They had the following children:[3][4]
