Elizabeth Green was born July 21, 1838 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, the daughter of James M. Green and Narcissus (Hamrick) Green. She was the sister of Stephen M. Green, Elias Green, George W. Green, Reuben H. Green Sr., William M. Green, Noah Green, Joseph P. Green, Ewell Green, Edmund H. Green, Judia Green, Edmond Green, James M. Green, Hannah Green, Nancy (Green) Earls, Nancy Green, Asa Green, Henry Green, Berry Green and Drury H. Green.^[1]<

Elizabeth married James H Hamrick in 1865. They had the following children:
