Joseph Green was born about 1769 in York (Cherokee) County, South Carolina, the son of Joseph Green and Mary (McEntire) Green. He was the brother of William Green, Ann (Green) McAfee, Abraham Green, Isaac Green, Mary O. (Green) Duncan and Jacob Green.
Joseph Married Belleriah Twitty June 2, 1791, in Rutherford County, North Carolina.[1] Daughter of Captian William John Twitty and Susannah (Bellers) Twitty, Graham.

Joseph and Belieriah Green had the following children:
