Death

It appears from the census records that all of Lemuel and Adeline's family moved with them to Greeley. Opal-Lula-and the boys. according to newspaper item Lemuel was crushed by his car and his leg had to be amputated, on Christmas Day. And then he died Dec. 29.
he was cranking up the family car, in front, did not have a brake on and was crushed at the legs between his and the next car.

So, yes, they did everything they could to save him but he did die after they amputated his leg.
