George was born about 1796. He was the son of James Greer and Elizabeth Pearce. He was first married to Ruth Gely in 1813. In September 1818 Ruth left him and their children Kizziah and Wm. Jackson and went down to Natchez with Briant Guin.
George Married Rachel Reynolds in 1821 (apparently before his divorce was final). They had 3 children. Rachel died in 1845 and George married Caroline Winkle in 1848, having one child with her.
His family in 1850 Census:
George Greer-54, Caroline Greer-37, Elizabeth Greer-18, Martha Greer-12, William Greer-7, Catharine Greer-2, George died after 1850. (If James b. abt 1832 is his son, he may have been living with his father's brother William Greer.)

I have tried for 7 months to contact Tammy Meadows, Profile Manager, to join trusted list for George Greer-1682 in order to merge it into my correct profile for Greer-5451. I have not received a reply from her. Robin Lee suggested we try to straighten this out. How do I do this without approval from Ms. Meadows?
Greer-1682 and Greer-5451 appear to represent the same person because: Born 1796 in SC. Both have daughter Kizziah born in 1814. Marriage to Elizabeth Benton is wrong, she is found as wife of Geo. Washington Greer in Overton County.
