"John Greer or Grier (1764-1844) served in the Revolutionary War as a private from Washington County, North Carolina. He was living in Rush County, Indiana, in 1835, and returned to Tennessee in 1840, where he was living with a daughter. His son, William Greer, was born in 1790 in South Carolina. He married Mary Cumley, daughter of George Crumley, in Sullivan County, Tennessee, in 1812. They lived in Carter County, Tennessee. They had ten children, 1814-1834. He died in 1858. Descendants lived in Tennessee and elsewhere. Leer menos
