Biography

Julia Ann Gregory was born April 21, 1822 to Giles Gregory and Althea Scribner.[1]

In 1850, Sherman and Julia A Morehouse resided at Wilton in Fairfield County where Sherman was a shoemaker and owned real estate valued at 2000. Living with the couple were 5 year old Jeanette Morehouse and 18 year old Caroline Morehouse.[2]

In 1860, Sherman and Julia A Morehouse were living at Wilton in Fairfield County. Sherman was a shoemaker with real estate worth 4200 and a personal estate of 700. Children at home were: Sherman, age 9 and infant Mary. Also in residene was 28 year old Caroline Morehouse.[3]

In 1910, 87 year old Julia, now widowed, was living with her son, Sherman and his family at Wilton, Connecticut.[4]

Julia Morehouse died on November 20, 1915 at Wilton, Connecticut.[5] She was buried at Zions Hill Methodist Episcopal Cemetery in Wilton.[6]
