Lyman W. Gregory was born in July 1851 in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. [1] He married Elizabeth "Libby" L Salls about 1874 in Port Henry, New York. They had four children in 12 years. Lyman left his family sometime after 1897, went to Vermont looking for work, and in 1900 was living with his sister Esther Stafford in Chicago. He died on May 8, 1908, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 56, and was buried in the Oak Woods Cemetery.
