Biography

Margaret Greville was born about 1496-1497 possibly at Arle Court (in Cheltenham), Gloucestershire, England. She was the daughter and co-heiress of Sir William Greville of Lemington, Gloucestershire, and female (first name unknown) Arrell, daughter of John Arrell of Arrell. ^[1] Margaret married Sir Richard Lygon, Knight, ^[2] A co-heiress, she brought Arle Court (in Cheltenham) to her marriage.

Sir Richard Lygon II and Margaret had the following 10 children: ^[3]

i Anne LYGON was born 1511.

ii Sir William LYGON Sheriff of Worcestershire was born 1512 and died 29 Sep 1567.

iii Ursula LYGON was born 1514.
