Gribble-511 and Gribble-238 appear to represent the same person because: The two John Gribble entries are listed as half brothers, but are actually the same individual. The difference in date of death between the date of death in the two listings is accounted for by the Tax and Exoneration Records for York County which, for the years 1781-1787 list Jane as a widow. The probate of John’s will was 1787, but must have been delayed until after his wife’s death …
