Mary "Polly"^[1] Grice was born in 1791 in North Corolina.

Family

Mary married Samuel B. Cobb born 1787 in Georgia.^[2] After Mary's death, Samuel remarried to Elizabeth Craig.

Samuel's first two children may have been by Mary, (judging by birth dates). Children:^[1]

1. Larry Grice Cobb (____ - 1864)
2. Alexander Cobb (1827 - 1908)

Samuel B Cobb may be Samuel Bridgers Cobb, born in Nash County, NC, the son of Benjamin and Mary Cobb. Benjamin Cobb was born in 1755 in Northampton County, the son of Stephen and Patience Bridgers Cobb. Samuel apparently left for Georgia in the early 1800's.^[2]

Death and Legacy

Mary died at Troup County, Georgia. She may have died fairly young, (in her twenties).
