Survivors include: one daughter,Mary Ann (Allen) Finke of Indiana; one son, ohn W. (Linda) Lawson of Alaska; two sisters, elen Cravens of Illinois and Marjorie Myers of Illinois; two brothers, ack Griest of Illinois and Alva (Sharon) Griest of Illinois. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and 17 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, two daughters, Patty Lawson and Joan Lawson, and one son, Richard Lawson.
Mrs. Lawson worked as a CNA at Hoopeston Hospital. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family. Waneta attended the Hoopeston United Methodist Church and the Church of God. She enjoyed sewing and caring for others.
