Biography

Alexander C. Griffin was born on 17 Sep. 1830 at Onondaga Co., New York, USA. He was the son of Aron and Betsey Bates Griffin.[1][2] He appeared on the census of 1 Aug. 1850 in the household of his brother, Emerson Gilbert Griffin, at Fountain Prairie, Columbia Co., Wisconsin.[3] He lived with James Bates in March 1854 70 miles from New Lancaster, Warren Co., Illinois.[4]

Alexander did not marry, he died in 1854 at Warren Co., Illinois.[4]
