Biography

Henry Arthur Griffin was born on 5 June 1867 at New Salem Township, McDonough Co., Illinois, USA.[1] He appeared on the census of 2 July 1870 in the household of his parents, William Addison Griffin and Mary Jane (Herlocker) Griffin, at New Salem Township, McDonough Co., Illinois.[2] He appeared on the census of 10 June 1880 in the household of his parents at New Salem Township, McDonough Co., Illinois.[3]

He married Sallie M. Battin, daughter of George Battin and Nancy (Willis) Battin, on 30 Sep. 1888 at New Salem Township, McDonough Co., Illinois.[1]

He was a farmer when he and Sallie appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 at New Salem Township, McDonough Co., Illinois.[4] He was a real estate agent when he and Sallie appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 at Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois.[5]

Henry died on 12 Dec. 1919 at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska,[1] at age 52 and was buried at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. His memorial has a photo of his gravestone and links to those of family members.[6]
