Biography

William Raymond Griffin^[1] was born on 30 June 1907^[2] at Texas, USA. He appeared on the census of 23 April 1910 in the household of his parents, William Gideon Griffin and Ida Colquette (Simpson) Griffin, at McLennan County, Texas.^[3] He appeared on the census of 2 Feb. 1920 in the household of his parents at Rosenthal, McLennan County, Texas.^[4] He appeared on the census of 9 April 1930 in the household of his parents at Precinct 1, McLennan County, Texas.^[5]

He married Harriet Elizabeth Griffin, daughter of George G. Griffin and Jesse Genevieve (Mussett) Griffin,^[6], circa 1938.^[1]

He was a teacher in a public school when he and Harriet appeared on the census of 18 April 1940 at Port Neches, Jefferson County, Texas.^[7]

William died on 17 Nov. 1998^[2] at Dallas County, Texas^[8], at age 91 and was buried at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with his wife.^[9]
