Biography

Samuel Griffin was born on 28 Dec. 1763 at Connecticut. He was baptized on 26 Feb. 1764 at Congregational Church, Redding, Fairfield Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Elnathan Griffin and Patience (Burr) Griffin. [1][2][3][4]

He married Martha Rogers, daughter of Cary Rogers and Martha (Rathbone) Rogers, circa 1783.[5]

He appeared on the census of 1790 at Rensselaerville, Albany Co., New York.[6] He appeared on the census of 1800 at Schodack, Rensselaer Co., New York.[7] He appeared on the census of 1810 at Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York.[8] He appeared on the census of 1820 at Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York.[9] He appeared on the census of 1830 at Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York.[10]

Samuel died on 30 Nov. 1840 at age 76.[1][2]
