Oscar was a minister in the Methodist Church. His parishes were Royal Oak, MI; Mt. Vernon Church, Baltimore, MD; Wilmette, IL; and Epworth-Euclid Church, Cleveland, OH. He traveled frequently to Europe for church meetings and was supposedly second in line for Bishop at one time. He was a graduate of Albion College, MI, where he met his wife, Edith Ketcham.
