Biography

Benj Griffin was enumerated as servant at Evans, DeKalb County, Georgia for the June 8, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as born 1868 in Georgia and single. He was black and worked as a laborer as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Frank Whitley, wife Mary Whitley, son Needison F Whitley and boarder Mary Mozeley.[1]
