Elijah Willoughby Griffith was born between 1760 and 1764 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He was the son of Evan Griffith and Sarah Ann Willoughby.[1]

He married Elizabeth Flynn in 1792 in Fauquier County Virginia. Elizabeth and Elijah has at least seven children; Sarah Bruin, Judith Griffith, Evan Griffith, John William Griffith Sr., Mary Lunceford, Martha Ball and Harriett Griffith.

He died September 25, 1843 in Fauquier County, Virginia. His burial was at Griffith Family Cemetery location in the Plains in Fauquier County Virginia.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Flynn, son of Evan Griffith & Sarah Willoughby, Father of Sarah Bruin, Judith Griffith, Evan , John William Sr, Mary Lunceford, Martha Ball and Harriett Griffith.

Burial: Griffith Family Cemetery The Plains Fauquier County Virginia, USA
