Biography

Elizabeth was born near Louisiana, Pike County, Missouri, 3 November 1835, and died at St. Louis, 27 June 1912. She is buried in Bowling Green Cemetery in St. Louis.[1] Elizabeth and James had two children together, Joseph William and Missouri Belle. When her husband died, she was left with a six year old and an eleven month old. She married in Pike County, 20 April 1868 Isaac R. Stevens , and they remained together until his death, 20 November 1911 . Elizabeth succumbed to cancer of the breast and died in the home of her son Joseph.
