29 Mar 1794 Deposition of Susannah Griffith, was daughter of Robert WITHEROW, who was a Miller at Mossy Creek (Augusta Co. VA.) Evan Griffith, Susannah Griffith and Samuel Witherow intend to remove from the State 4th September, 1795. [1]
29 Sep 1796 Evan Griffith was appointed overseer of road on Wolf Creek in room of Robert JOHNSTON[2]
25 Oct 1796 Susannah Griffith made oath, and with Thomas SKAGGS her security, entered into bond with penalty of £100. Certificate is granted her to obtain letters of administration of Evan GRIFFITH dec'd.[3] Note: Thomas Skaggs was the father-in-law of Susannah's brother William Witherow, who married Thomas' daughter Susannah Skaggs on Oct. 3, 1792 in Greenbrier Co. VA.
31 Oct. 1797 Treasury warrant No.19180 (Oct. 1, 1783) , granted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky onto Evan Griffith 2051 ¾ acres in Mason County on the waters of Little Sandy, by survey bearing date of Oct. 31, 1797, Survey No. 4406. Examined and delivered per receipt July 18, 1800. Patent: OK 4406.0[4]
